What is actually different

The live-quiz format is a good one and Yippito does not try to reinvent it. What changes is where the questions come from. In Yippito, generation is the default path rather than a side feature: you point it at a topic, a set of notes, a PDF, a web page or a video transcript, and it drafts the round for you. The blank editor is still there if you want it — most people stop using it.

That matters most for the quizzes that never get made. A revision round on the exact chapter a class read last week, a round on the policy document a team was sent, a film-trivia night on a specific decade — those are worth playing but rarely worth an hour of typing. When the draft takes a minute, they get made.

Question types beyond A/B/C/D

There are fifteen types, and several of them are not the usual four-coloured tiles. Puzzle Race scrambles an image and players race to reassemble it. Pin-on-image asks players to tap a point — a country on a map, a part in a diagram — and scores by how close they got. Image hotspot asks for a tap inside a defined zone. Match pairs and ordering questions ask for structure rather than recognition. There are also polls with no right answer, number questions with a tolerance, and open text answers.

Media questions round it out: images, audio clips, video and YouTube moments, with clip trimming so you only play the seconds that matter.

Honest about where it is young

Yippito is new. There is no library of millions of ready-made public quizzes to copy from, no decade of integrations, and features are still landing week by week. What there is: AI generation from five kinds of source, fifteen question types, live hosting for up to 300 players, and a free beta with everything unlocked.

If your workflow depends on a huge public quiz catalogue, that gap is real. If it depends on getting a good quiz about your own material in front of a room quickly, that is exactly the part Yippito does well.
